Panic Button 4.1 beta 1 released!

This is a beta release of an update to Panic Button which brings back a few missing features that existed before Firefox 57 (a.k.a. Firefox Quantum) was released. It is being made available for testing, and although it is in a fairly stable beta-quality state, expect to encounter the inevitable bugs.

Because this is a beta release, no automatic upgrades to this release will be available to current Panic Button users.

Read on to learn more about what's new and how to get it.

What's New
  • Brought back the ability to change the keyboard shortcut for invoking the Panic Button action
  • The ability to set a password when restoring the browser session (for the Hide and Replace action) has also returned. The restore session password can be set in Panic Button preferences

Things You Should Know About
  • Panic Button 4.1 requires Firefox 60 or newer.
  • The Close All Windows action doesn't actually quit the browser, unless there are no other open windows (e.g. bookmark manager)
