Thunderbird 60 was released on 6 August 2018. The Mozilla Thunderbird Blog has more information on what's new in this release of the email client from Mozilla.
There have been many changes in Thunderbird 60 that makes Clippings 5.5.x, the latest stable release of Clippings for Thunderbird, incompatible with it. As a result, Clippings 5.5.x is not compatible with Thunderbird 60.
Clippings 6 is a WebExtension rewrite for Firefox Quantum. As such, it is not compatible with any version of Thunderbird.
Work is in progress on Clippings for Thunderbird version 5.6, which will be compatible with Thunderbird 60, but an official release date has not yet been determined.
Until then, Thunderbird users should stay with Thunderbird 52.x so that they can continue to use Clippings. Users who crave the latest and greatest Thunderbird release may want to consider trying out the latest beta release of Clippings for Thunderbird 5.6.

Arg! No TB60 support yet!
I'll be staying with 52.9.1 until that's sorted out.
I use clippings for many standard responses in emails.
Super useful.
Thanks
Question:
If I install TB60 and Clippings 5.6 Beta, will it auto-update when the full (non-beta) version is released?
@Unknown - Great question. Yes, it will.
OK - thanks for letting me know. I'll consider my options - although waiting a while seems like a reasonable one.
