Panic Button 4.1 released!

Panic Button 4.1 is a long-overdue update which brings back a few missing features that existed before Firefox 57 (a.k.a. Firefox Quantum) was released. It is now available from Mozilla Add-ons and the AE Creations website.

If you already have Panic Button installed, it will be upgraded for you if automatic extension updates are enabled. Otherwise, open Add-ons Manager (Tools → Add-ons), then right-click on the entry for Panic Button in the list of installed extensions and choose Find Updates.

What's New
  • Brought back the ability to change the keyboard shortcut for invoking the Panic Button action
  • The ability to set a password when restoring the browser session (for the Hide and Replace action) has also returned. The restore session password can be set in Panic Button preferences

Things You Should Know About
  • Panic Button 4.1 requires Firefox 60 or newer.
  • The Close All Windows action doesn't actually quit the browser, unless there are no other open windows (e.g. bookmark manager)
