If you already have an older version of Panic Button installed, it will be upgraded for you if automatic extension updates are enabled. Otherwise, open Add-ons Manager (Tools → Add-ons), click on the entry for Panic Button in the list of installed extensions, and then scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Check for Updates.
What's New
- New option for the Minimize All Windows action to open a new browser window after all browser windows are minimized. If this option is turned on, you can restore the minimized browser windows by clicking the Panic Button again from the new window.
- The extension preferences page now uses the Dark Mode colors on macOS and Windows.
Things You Should Know About
- Panic Button 4.2 requires Firefox 68 or newer.
- Known Issue: On latest versions of Firefox, the Hide and Replace action doesn't work if more than one browser window was open at the time the Panic Button action was triggered. If you normally browse with multiple browser windows, consider changing the Panic Button action to Minimize All Windows.
